My cousins and I were walking down the Las Vegas Strip. I noticed a man in his mid 20s-30s laying in the middle of the sidewalk. He was laying on a blanket on the ground and covered with another blanket. I told my cousins Adriane & Victoria to continue walking and that I would catch up with them. I walked up & talked to the young man. As I kneel down, looking in his eyes, I see an emptiness, void & hopelessness. I see he had given up on life.. He tells me his name is Chris. After asking him what the reason was for him being on the street, he responds, he dropped out of school. I asked him what else had happened to him, he responded: "Nothing". I asked him, "That's it!?!?”. I asked him if he knew how many of the top entrepreneurs, leading multinational companies had dropped out of school. His eyes widened. I had his full attention. I told him he should not think that he is invisible. I said if he did believe this, he was believing a lie. I told him I was seeing him, so was God and everyone else. I explained to him that people were avoiding him because they didn’t know how to approach him, some had fear & others were overwhelmed. I said I had approached him because God wanted him to know that he was seen, that he had given up on life, but God had not given up on him. I told him there was an employer out there that was looking for exactly his skillset, a wife that had been praying for him, a home God had for him, that God had a plan and a future for him and much more. All this time he was listening and looking intently. I could see he was taking it all in. He said a prayer after me. I saw he was struggling with addiction and told him that. He responded: “Yeah, I’m working on it.”. I replied, “No, you are not working on it, today you are done with it”. I declared freedom over him & his life. Leading him into a repentance prayer, he spoke after me. He invited Jesus into His life and asked Him to help him. At the end he thanked me & shook my hand. I saw a softening in his eyes. He thanked me for talking to him. At the end I prophetically said (my brother’s & sisters in Christ will know), “Pick up your mat and walk”. (His word never returns void.) I caught up with my cousins. They were already done with sightseeing at the Mandalay Bay hotel and waiting for me. So, we returned the same way we had come where we had passed Chris. I said to the girls, let’s see if Chris is still there, smirking. Adriane said with big eyes, “He is gone!” Overjoyed I said to my cousins that this man’s whole trajectory & life had changed with that one encounter with Jesus. I’m thinking of all the many seemingly minor encounters I had with Jesus through other people that have impacted my life and allowed me to experience His love. Think of the ripple effect one changed life has. Don’t hold it in. Freely give of which you have freely received and watch what Jesus will do in & through you. You are the place where the natural meets the supernatural! Luke 17:21
